Games like Slither.io: snake io games and more
Updated 2026-10-28
The games most like Slither.io are other snake games: Wormate.io, Little Big Snake, Snake.io and Powerline.io. If you want the same shared map where you grow and dodge stronger players, but not a snake, try Agar.io and Paper.io 2. Below are seven games with one line on each, and how Crybble Wars differs from them.
Slither.io came out in March 2016, made by Steve Howse. Your snake grows by eating glowing pellets. If its head runs into another snake’s body, it dies and turns into big glowing pellets for others to eat. That is why a small snake can beat a big one: the big one only has to run into it.
Which games are like Slither.io?
| game | what you play as | what is different | where to play |
|---|---|---|---|
| Slither.io | a snake | the model of the genre: glowing pellets, a boost that costs length, death by a head-on hit | browser, iOS, Android |
| Wormate.io | a worm | you eat candies, cookies and cakes. Potions that last 10–40 seconds make you faster, pull sweets toward you and speed up growth up to 10 times | browser, iOS, Android |
| Little Big Snake | a snake | it has missions, upgrades and a team mode with friends. When you die, you are reborn as a flying juja | browser, iOS, Android |
| Snake.io | a snake | a snake battle royale by Kooapps: get a rival to bump into your body, then collect what is left of them | browser on a computer, iOS, Android |
| Powerline.io | a neon line | your line speeds up next to other lines, which is how you cut rivals off. Invite friends with the “Play With Friends” link | browser |
| Agar.io | a cell | not a snake: you eat dots and smaller cells, and you can split your cell. io games started with it in 2015 | browser, iOS, Android |
| Paper.io 2 | a square trailing a line | you draw a trail across the arena and claim the zone you close, unless someone cuts you off first | browser, iOS, Android |
| Crybble Wars | a bubble | you grow and eat anyone smaller; in a match with a paid entry the money sits inside your bubble. There is a free match too | browser, Telegram |
What do snake io games have in common?
- A shared map: other people play around you.
- You grow from food on the map and from what is left of fallen rivals.
- The main danger is running your head into someone else’s body. Size does not save you: a big snake dies the same way as a small one.
- Almost all of them have a boost. In Slither.io it costs length: your snake leaves a trail of small pellets.
- When you die, you start again.
Which one should you play?
There is no official ranking, so pick by what you like about Slither.io. Power-ups and sweets: Wormate.io. Missions, upgrades and playing as a team: Little Big Snake. Cutting rivals off at speed: Powerline.io. A battle royale: Snake.io. Tired of snakes but like the “eat anyone smaller” rule: Agar.io or Crybble Wars. Capturing territory: Paper.io 2. Another list is on the “Games like Agario” page.
Where does Crybble Wars fit, and how is it different?
Crybble Wars is an io game for the web and Telegram, but instead of a snake you play a bubble, as in Agar.io. Your bubble grows from food, and you can split and shoot mass.
- Who eats whom. In Slither.io a head-on hit decides it; in Crybble Wars size does: to eat another bubble you must be at least 10% heavier and cover more than half of it.
- How a small player beats a big one. With a bomb or a freeze, picked up on the map. A bomb tears apart the part of the bubble it hits, and a freeze stops a bubble for 4 seconds. A small player can also hide behind a hamster: it tears big bubbles apart.
- Mass melts on its own, whether you move or stand still: at a mass of 5000, about 90 per second.
- Money. The entry is free or 1, 30, 100 CBW; 1 CBW is $0.01. A paid entry sits in your bubble. If you are eaten, it drops onto the map as a chest; if you leave through the house button, it goes to your balance.
- A boss. Now and then Blub comes out onto the shared map with a bank of CBW inside; players with a paid entry hit him with bombs.
The rules are on “How the game works”, and the point-by-point comparison with Agar.io is on “Crybble Wars and other io games”.
Can you play Slither.io with friends?
Slither.io has no private rooms. Since December 2025 you can pick a server, so friends agree to join the same one. Little Big Snake has a team mode with friends, and Powerline.io has a “Play With Friends” link. More games you join together from a link are on the “Multiplayer browser games to play with friends” page.
How do you boost in Slither.io?
Hold the space bar, the up arrow or a mouse button; on a phone, double-tap. Boosting costs mass: it is left behind your snake as a line of small pellets. You get it back by eating pellets.
Are there games like Slither.io on mobile?
Yes. Slither.io, Wormate.io, Little Big Snake, Snake.io and Agar.io are on iOS and Android. Mobile Slither.io has a mode where every rival is a bot. On a phone, Crybble Wars opens in Telegram or in the browser, with nothing to download.
Is there a game like Slither.io on Telegram?
Crybble Wars is an io game that opens in Telegram through the bot @crybblegame_bot. It is not a snake game, though: you play a bubble, grow from food and eat anyone smaller, as in Agar.io.
